ASK are now able to offer full Automated Optical Inspection, using our Mirtec Benchtop system.

Selected for its ease of use, and speed of programming the Mirtec AOI system guarantees repeatable quality on all low-medium volume orders, whilst not compromising on our standard leadtimes.

Automated optical inspection is an automated visual inspection of the PCB being manufactured. A camera autonomously scans the device under test for a variety of surface feature defects such as open circuits and short circuits as well as missing components, incorrect components, and incorrectly placed components.

AOI is able to perform most of the visual checks performed previously by manual operators, and far more swiftly and accurately.
